Sometimes some HOA or (Home owner's associations) maintain strict standards when it comes to the layout and theme of the homes within their area. Colors may be banned, materials can be banned, and its not likely they'll accept having one house as the oddball out of the group. If you want to make your home more unique while still adhering to HOA rules, then there may be a solution for you! Hybrid homes, utilize the base material (sometimes shingle, shake, or clay) and add some metal layers to the home to achieve a modern and unique look! Take a look at an example above and let us know what you think! Note the color combinations between the metal and shingle and then their coordination with its siding. Unique while also very easy on the eyes.
